Openkids Africa
Non‑profit website redesign for OpenKids Africa, showcasing their mission to connect children in underserved African communities to a digital future through free tech lessons and open educational resources.

OpenKids Africa is a non‑profit organization that connects children in underserved African communities to a digital future through free technology lessons and open educational resources. In 2024, I worked on their web presence to help them clearly communicate their mission, programs, and impact to partners, donors, and schools.
The site highlights six core pillars — leadership, collaboration, awareness, equality, sustainability, and education — and translates them into a simple, engaging narrative for parents, educators, and potential partners. I focused on creating a clean, accessible layout that works well on low‑bandwidth connections and across devices, while keeping the visual language friendly and kid‑centered.
On the content side, I structured sections to explain what OpenKids Africa does, how they collaborate with schools and organizations, and how visitors can get involved through donations or partnerships. Clear calls‑to‑action guide users to support the work of providing free digital materials, refurbished laptops, and tech awareness programs for girls and children in rural schools.
This project combined UX thinking, visual design, and front‑end implementation to support a social impact organization working at the intersection of education and technology in Africa.
